EconsLab is a premier provider of JC Economics and IB Economics to students taking the GCE âAâ Level exams and International Baccalaureate exams.
Our principal tutor Ms Foo is highly experienced and has been teaching Economics for over 15 years. She has been placed in the Deanâs List for Masters in Economics. Ms Foo has an excellent track record in her teaching which has won her many praises from her students past and present. Our class size is kept small (up to 8 students per class) so that there can be effective interaction among Ms Foo and her students. Learning Economics under Ms Foo is fun and enjoyable. Ms Foo encourages her students to ask questions when in doubt. Afterall, there is no such thing as stupid or silly questions - students learn from the questions they ask.
At EconsLab, we provide all the help needed for our students to excel in Economics.
â Content mastery through detailed teaching of concepts
â Step-by-step guidance in question analysis, points generation and development
â Materials and answers provided
â Recording provided for online tuition
The key to doing well in Economics is first to master the content well. Next is learning the exam techniques of question analysis and points development to ensure answers meet the question requirement. Lastly, it is through restructuring the answers to ensure arguments are presented coherently.
Our Deanâs List star tutor Ms Foo reviews scripts for her students from our class practices, schoolâs block test, midyear exams and prelims. Ms Fooâs constructive feedback to her studentsâ work helps identify their blind spots and areas needed for improvement. Our studentsâ excellent results and testimonials speaks for itself. You may know some of our accomplished achievers (view from Results page).
Besides physical face-to-face tuition, we also offer online tuition for students who wish to have lessons in the comfort of their own home to save on transport time. The recent release of GCE A Levels results showed that our students did well be it opting for face-to-face or online weekly tuition:
đ Achievers with 5-6 grades improvement from U to As and Bs: 73%
đ Achievers with 4 grades improvement from U to Cs: 27%
đ Achievers with at least 3 grades improvement: 100%
Specifically, students who scored As, Bs and Cs are 41%, 32% and 23% respectively. Around 90% of our cohort scored either U or S grade prior to Economics tuition at EconsLab.
Our students did well in the IB Economics exam as well with 80% scoring 7 and 6. Specifically, students who scored 7, 6 and 5 are 40%, 40% and 20% respectively.
